About the Bernice Magalnick Theatre Company

Honoring a Legacy. Creating the Future of Theatre.
The Bernice Magalnick Theatre Company was founded to honor the lifelong passion of Bernice Magalnick, whose love of theatre inspired generations of performers, creators, and audiences.
Born from a shared vision between Bernice, her daughter Debra, and Frank, the organization was established to encourage creativity by developing original theatrical works and supporting emerging playwrights, composers, and storytellers. Their dream was simple but ambitious: create new opportunities for original theatre while helping those works reach schools, libraries, community theatres, religious organizations, and audiences everywhere. This vision remains at the heart of the organization today.
Our Mission
The Bernice Magalnick Theatre Company serves as the licensing and publishing arm of our creative vision.
Its mission is to develop, publish, and license original theatrical productions, particularly children's theatre, by collaborating with emerging and established playwrights, authors, lyricists, and composers. Through these partnerships, the organization seeks to make fresh, engaging theatrical works available to schools, libraries, religious organizations, community theatres, and performing arts groups.
Our Vision
We believe that theatre has the power to inspire confidence, encourage imagination, and bring communities together.
The Bernice Magalnick Theatre Company is committed to discovering new voices, nurturing artistic collaboration, and helping original works find life beyond the page. Whether through children's musicals, educational productions, or future licensing opportunities, our goal is to make quality theatrical works accessible to organizations of every size while supporting the artists who create them.
As our catalog grows, so too will opportunities for schools, community theatres, and performing groups to perform original productions created through this initiative.
A Natural Partnership
The partnership between The Networking Drama Club of Long Island and The Bernice Magalnick Theatre Company brings together two organizations with complementary missions.
The Networking Drama Club of Long Island focuses on producing live theatrical performances, fostering professional and community connections, and supporting charitable organizations through the performing arts.
The Bernice Magalnick Theatre Company focuses on creating, publishing, and licensing original theatrical works so that those productions can be enjoyed by schools, community theatres, libraries, religious organizations, and audiences for years to come.
Together, the organizations are building more than performances—they are building opportunities for artists, performers, educators, and communities to connect through the power of theatre.
Looking Ahead
